Piwat Suppawittaya is a fourth-year medical student and dual-degree candidate (M.D.–M.M. in Healthcare & Wellness Management) at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital and the College of Management, Mahidol University. His academic interests include palliative care system strengthening, health policy and systems research, health systems science, and medical education research engagement. As a member of the Ramathibodi Health Policy and Systems Research Team, he served as principal investigator of a grant-funded project on palliative care systemic challenges in Thailand, supported by the Peaceful Death Research Grant 2024 from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation. His publications span emergency medical services and cognitive psychology with 194 citations on Google Scholar as of December 2025. Piwat has presented at international forums such as The International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE) 2023–2025, the Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR) 2024, and other academic and innovation venues, where he has earned multiple awards for research and invention. He is also actively involved in student leadership, including roles as Head of Research Engagement and Curriculum Development Department, former President and Vice President of the Research Unit of the Ramathibodi Medical Student Council, as well as Liaison Officer for Medical Science and Research Issues for IFMSA-Thailand.
